Why a league
Hockey in the region rests on clubs and national championships. Within one country there are few opponents, and over a season teams keep meeting the same ones. BHC adds official games against clubs from other countries.
For players, that means more games per season. This matters most for those who have finished youth hockey: without regular game time, the level drops fast.
How the season works
Once a month the teams come to Sarajevo and play a full round from Thursday to Sunday: 22–25 October, 12–15 November and 17–20 December. In each round, one game is played away in Novi Sad and one in Bulgaria or Turkey. All dates and times are in the schedule.
Every team plays every other team three times: 12 games each, 30 in total. There is one standings table, and places are decided by total points.
The season ends with the play-offs in January: a Final Four with semifinals 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3, then the final and the third-place game, all in one weekend. Dates will be announced later.

Goals and development
- A step up — player development through the league and a pathway to higher-level teams.
- Opponents from other countries — a full season of official games against clubs from outside your own championship.
- Game time — more games per season, including for players who have finished youth hockey.
- Hockey people can see — broadcasts, stats and video that players can show to a club or an agent.
- A season for players who lack ice time at their own club.

Every game is streamed on YouTube. Results, standings and individual skater and goalie stats are published in the Stats section of the site.

Participation
The Season 1 line-up is complete. Registration for Season 2 opens after Season 1; a team needs at least 11 players. Season 2 terms will be announced when registration opens.
